On the afternoon of June 24th, Hebei International Studies University held a video conference with the West Ukrainian National University. Academician Sun Jianzhong, Chairman and President of Hebei International Studies University, held talks with Andruk Christovati, President of the West Ukrainian National University, on academic exchanges, school-level cooperation, promotion of China and Ukrainian teaching, and reached a cooperation intention and signed a memorandum of cooperation.
Dr. Andrew Christovati, President of the West Ukrainian National University and Academician of the National Academy of Economic Sciences of Ukraine; Academician Sun Jianzhong, Chairman and President of Hebei International Studies University; Professor Xi Wei, Vice Chairman and Executive President; Chen Wei, Vice President of Foreign Affairs; Anatoly Guri, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of the West Ukrainian National University; Professor Oksana Deyatnuk, Vice President; Ulijana Kroz, Director of International Relations Department; Oleg Shevchuk, Director of International Students Department. Wang Yitan, Chairman of China Affairs Management Committee, Huang Suyun, Director of China Office, Li Li, Dean of Eurasian Language Institute, Wang Bei, Dean of Business of Eurasian Language Institute, Igor, Foreign Teacher of Eurasian Language Institute, and Han Fang, Dean of International Students Institute attended the video conference. The meeting was presided over by Han Fang, Dean of International Students College of Hebei International Studies University.
President Andrew Christovati introduced the basic situation, characteristics and achievements of the West Ukrainian National University, congratulated Hebei International Studies University and President Sun for their honors, and expressed his strong desire to cooperate with Hebei International Studies University in substance.
President Sun Jianzhong of Hebei International Studies University introduced that Hebei International Studies University offers 75 languages and 143 specialties, and cooperates with 373 countries in the world. Hebei International Studies University is committed to serving the construction of "the belt and road initiative" and contributing to the friendship between China and foreign countries. China and Ukraine are friendly countries, and the West Ukrainian National University is one of the top ten higher education centers in Ukraine. I hope that Hebei International Studies University and the West Ukrainian National University can carry out in-depth cooperation and contribute to the friendship between China and Ukraine.
The two sides held talks on teacher-student exchanges, academic research cooperation, co-authored teaching materials, and jointly promoted Chinese and Ukrainian, and signed a memorandum of cooperation. In the future, the two sides will work together to provide talent support and intellectual support for the "the belt and road initiative" language talents of the two countries.
After the signing ceremony, President Sun cordially invited President Andrukris Dorvati of the West Ukrainian National University and all his good friends to be guests of the Hebei International Studies University after the epidemic. I hopes we can hold hands tightly, open a new chapter of cooperation, and seek more points of convergence by giving full play to our respective advantages, so as to share friendship, talk, cooperate and seek common development, president Sun said.

The West Ukrainian National University is one of the top ten higher education centers in Ukraine, a fourth-level certified national education institution in Ukraine, and the alma mater of the famous former Ukrainian President Yushchenko.
