On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cuba, Deng Peiran, deputy secretary of Shijiazhuang municipal Party committee and mayor, met with Carlos Miguel Pereira, a distinguished professor of Hebei Foreign Studies University and Cuban ambassador to China, at the Asia Pacific Hotel on November 2th. The two sides had extensive and in-depth exchanges on further strengthening cooperation and promoting win-win development. Mayor Deng Peiran extended a warm welcome to Carlos Miguel Pereira and his entourage and briefly introduced the economic and social development of Shijiazhuang. He said one belt, one road and the other is the Hebei Vocational College of Foreign Languages. It is a foreign language talent training base for the "one belt and one way" and the Beijing Tianjin Hebei joint development. Among the 3 foreign policy consultants hired by the Shijiazhuang Municipal People's government, La Farge, a Cuban academician of Hebei Vocational College of Foreign Languages, has been the school of education in Shijiazhuang, Cuba, education, medical and artificial intelligence. Cooperation at different levels.
Mr. ambassador said he was very grateful to Mr. Mayor for treating themselves. One belt, one road, and another one, we have learned the position and role of Hebei Vocational College of Foreign Languages in the development of "one belt and one road" and "Beijing Tianjin Hebei cooperation". We hope to further promote the cooperation between Cuba and Hebei Vocational College of Foreign Languages and Shijiazhuang, and make Shijiazhuang a model base for cooperation in ancient China.Hebei Foreign Studies University has conducted cooperation with Cuba in many aspects. Cuba Ministry of Higher Education pays a lot attention to the progress of the construction project and Cuban Ministry of public health also gives top priority to the cooperation in medical health and the development of relevant medicines with Hebei Foreign Studies University. We hope that the Municipal Government can support this cooperation between Cuba and Hebei Foreign Studies University. Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in China will play a positive role in promoting the communication and cooperation between Shijiazhuang and Cuba to achieve more fruitful results.
The mayor Deng Peiran said that the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute Project,the Sino-Cuban International Friendship Hospital Project, "the Belt and Road" Research Center Project,the Biopharmaceutical Project and the Talent Training Project are all the projects that Shijiazhuang is currently facing in the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, the planning and construction of the Xiongan New Area,"the Belt and Road" and the Establishment of Zhengding Area of China (Hebei) Free Trade Zone. The Municipal Government will certainly give necessary support to those needed in the major development opportunities.
The meeting also attended by Shijiazhuang Municipal Government, main leaders of the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office and academician Perez who is the vice president of Hebei Foreign Studies University.Dr.Yang Zhen,assistant to the president and the vice president of Hebei Foreign Studies University,did translation work to mayor Deng in Spanish.
