On the morning of December 13th, 2019, the people's Government of Hebei Province held the recognition conference of "Yanzhao Friendship Award". Xu Qin, Governor of Hebei province, presented medals and certificates to the award-winning experts. Xu Jianpei, Vice Governor of the province, read out the recognition decision. Zhu Haowen, Secretary General of the provincial government, presided over the award ceremony.
Academician Ramagoshi, Vice President of full-time professor of Hebei Foreign Studies University (HFSU), was awarded the honorary title of "Yanzhao Friendship Award". In addition to 20 foreign experts in the field of economic and biomedical technology, only four foreign teachers from HFSU, Hebei Normal University, Hebei University of Technology and Hebei University have won the award in more than 100 universities in the province. Academician Ramagoshi is also the only foreign expert from a private university.
Governor Xu Qin presented the certificate and medal of "Yanzhao Friendship Award" to Academician Ramagoshi, Vice President of HFSU, and took photos together after the awarding.

Xu Qin, Governor of Hebei Provincial People's Government, personally awarded the medal and certificate of "Yanzhao Friendship Award" to academician Ramagoshi. At the following Symposium of award-winning experts, academician Ramagoshi said that, she was honored to receive the "Yanzhao Friendship Award" issued by Hebei Provincial People's Government, and appreciated Hebei Provincial People's Government for its affirmation of her work and her work unit. In the future work, she will continue to work hard to make greater contributions to the economic and social development of Hebei Province and the friendship build up between the two nation’s people.
At the Symposium of award-winning experts, Li Hang, Dean of the College of Oriental Languages of HFSU, and Zhang Qiujie, teacher of the International Affairs Office, acted as the Korean and English interpreters of the whole audience. After the meeting, the outstanding performance of the two teachers was highly praised by the leaders of the Provincial Science and Technology Department, and they expressed their gratitude for the strong support given by HFSU in this activity!
What is the "Yanzhao Friendship Award"?
In order to commend foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to the economic construction and social development of our province, and promote extensive exchanges and cooperation with foreign countries in the fields of economy, science and technology, education, culture, etc., the provincial government has set up the "Yanzhao Friendship Award", which is the highest honorary award awarded by the Hebei Provincial Government to foreign experts.
How excellent the winning experts are?
Among the 20 foreign experts who won the award, 16 are in the economic and technological field, and 4 are in the cultural and educational field. Among them, there are 2 academicians, 2 experts, and 2 winners of Hebei International Science and Technology Cooperation Award, covering 12 countries including South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany. They are all outstanding representatives in various fields, some are leaders, some are technical backbones, some are management elites, they have made important contributions to Hebei's scientific and technological innovation and social progress, and they are representative in various fields.
Ramagosh: An outstanding emissary of education and culture in China and Africa.
Refilwe Morongwa Ramagoshi, Vice President and full-time professor of HFSU. MA in Sociolinguistics, PhD in Early Childhood Education, Academician of the South African Academy of Science and Art, member of the South African Scholars' Federation, member of the International Baccalaureate Organization and the Botswana Literature Committee of the University of Cambridge, UK, expert in Early Childhood Education, Chief Expert in the language of Botswana.
Since 1993, she has been teaching at the University of Pretoria. At present, she is a senior lecturer (Professor) of African Linguistics in HFSU, teaching courses such as Intercultural Communication and Sociolinguistics for undergraduate and graduate students. Academician Ramagoshi was invited to attend the cultural week of "Belgium and the Netherlands: Flanders South Africa Culture Day - Versatile South Africa", and delivered a speech of Ubuntu / Botuo (cross-cultural Humanities) on behalf of Africa. As a volunteer of the South African Women's Federation, Academician Ramagoshi serves as an external examiner of the University of South Africa, the International Diploma Organization and Cambridge International Literature of Botswana, and has published many articles in international journals.

As early as year 2016, Professor Kim Kyungsik of HFSU won the "Yanzhao Friendship Award" in the year of 2016, and then Governor Zhang Qingwei personally presented the award to Professor Kim Kyungsik.
