The 2020 World Summit on Educational Industrial Science and Technology Innovation, sponsored by Hengshui City Government and Hengshui High School, was held in Hengshui city on May 16, 2020, for the purpose of creating a new look of educational opening up in response to China’s Educational Modernization in 2035, comprehensively updating international cooperation, pushing forward worldwide mutual identification of academic degrees and diplomas, and mutual acceptance of standards, steadily promoting the educational action in the context of the Belt and Road Initiative, and upgrading the quality of joint ventures in educational field. The summit was a part of China (Langfang) International Economic and Trade Fair, whose theme was educational innovation that takes the lead with trust.
Sun Jianzhong, President and Board Chairman of Hebei Foreign Studies University, and Vice President Perez of HFSU and consultant of UNESCO, who are both academicians of Cuban Academy of Sciences, were invited to deliver keynote speeches at 2020 China (Langfang) International Economic and Trade Fair and China Hengshui World Summit on Educational Industrial Science and Technology Innovation.
Academician Sun Jianzhong gave an extensive talk on higher education as a driving power for economic and social development.
Academician Sun Jianzhong highlighted that education is constantly undergoing self repairs and amendments to eventually adapt to the continued economic and social development in various ways.
Academician Sun Jianzhong began with an introduction of four industrial revolutions, and centered on his own ideas of self revolution, university+ and other educational and teaching reforms as a power house to drive the economic and social development in pursuit of a higher level of internationalization. His speech won warm applauses.
Academician Perez spoke of the theme of One Belt, One Road Initiative through an interpretation by Dr. Yang Zhen, an assistant president of Hebei Foreign Studies University.
Academician Perez claimed in his speech that China's One Belt and One Road Initiative has attracted worldwide attention since it was first introduced to the international community in 2013. Consequently, 126 countries, developed and developing alike, and 29 international organizations have signed the cooperation agreement with China.
Academician Perez explicated the consensus of China's One Belt and One Road Initiative with the UN goal of sustainable development in 2030, both devoted to fair and superior education for men and women.
China has also signed cooperative agreements with 24 countries along the belt and road on mutual acceptance of academic credentials and 46 scientific and technological cooperation projects. The initiative makes it possible to build four silk roads, namely, green, healthy, talent and peace road. Educational achievements have to be proved by creative approaches where joint efforts are a proper path towards building a human community with a shared future in the context of One Belt and One Road Initiative. Finally, academician Perez put forward his own five thoughts on educational innovation.

Hebei Foreign Studies University boasts cooperation with 360 famous universities in 82 countries such as the United States, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Russia, Spain, Portugal, India, Greece, Egypt, etc, ranking on top of the list of China's private universities. At the same time, HFSU has also launched an enthusiastic cooperation with foreign embassies in China, overseas ministries of education, culture, academies of science, history and cultural research, and world-renown enterprises that are located adjacent with our partners.
Hebei Foreign Studies University has set up a working station approved by Hebei Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs for foreign academicians in Hebei Province. It has successfully introduced 8 full-time foreign academicians, namely, 2 from the Cuban Academy of Sciences, 1 from World Academy of Sciences, 1 from American Academy of Sciences, 1 from Norwegian Academy of Sciences, 1 from Columbia Academy of Sciences, 1 from Spanish Academy of Sciences and 1 from South African Academy of Sciences. Among them, 2 have won Yanzhao Friendship Award, 1 has been appointed as consultant in UNESCO, 1 has been appointed as special envoy of the UN Secretary General for Syria, 1 well-famed philosopher in Latin America, 1 meritorious academician of Cuban Academy of Sciences, 1 founder of artificial intelligence in Latin America, 1 linguist in western European languages, 1 African linguist and 1 linguist in Central and Eastern European languages.
One academician has had the honor of meeting with four generations of Chinese leaders, 1 met with Premier Li Keqiang and one with Vice Premier Han Zheng. Besides, HFSU has employed 210 experts of minor languages from the belt and road countries, ranking the first in Hebei Province.
