To improve the "cultural environment" in which foreign experts work and live in Hebei, Provincial Science and Technology Department, Hebei Foreign Science and Technology Exchange Center sponsored and organized“Beautiful Hebei, New Year Blessing” culture experience activity for foreign experts on the occasion of the Spring Festival in Hebei Foreign Studies University(HFSU) on January 7th, 2020.

Spring Atmosphere Spilled from the Tea Cup
New Year is right around the corner，with a fresh fragrance of tea, foreign experts welcome Spring Festival by enjoy brewing and sipping the Chinese tea in the cultural center of HFSU.
Yan Li, National Technician on Tea Appraisal, Vice President of Tea Marketing Association presented Chinese tea art to foreign experts at the cultural center of HFSU. To help the foreign experts to have a better understanding of the Chinese tea cultures.
At the same time, foreign experts focused on observing and learning Ms. Yan's performance of brewing, pouring, and serving tea. Professor Matilda were very excited to come on the stage and experience the tea performance. Her serious attitude won the applause and recognition of Ms. Yan Li and other foreign experts.
Professor Matilda said that she enjoyed
the tea culture experience very much and felt "drunk" by the fragrance
of the tea.
Professor Mivan said that through the explanation of Ms. Yan Li, we are more familiar with Chinese tea culture, which helps us better integrate into Hebei life.
Ms. Yan Li said: "Tea is like the taste of life, life is like tea, floating and sinking in the whole life. Chinese culture is broad and profound, we need to taste it in the culture. "

Celebrate Spring Festival with a Splash of Ink
It is a traditional custom for every Chinese to paste couplets and Chinese character “Fu” on the door in the beginning of New Year to welcome and celebrate Spring Festival. Therefore, calligraphy combining spring couplet is an important carrier of Chinese culture. With the theme of “Beautiful Hebei, New Year Blessing” a Spring couplet writing activity was held in HFSU.
Guo Yuming, Deputy Director of Hebei Provincial Science and Technology Department, warmly welcomed the experts and representatives from various fields whom attend this meeting, and sent his wishes accordingly. Hope with this opportunity to deepen practical cooperation between foreign friends in Hebei from all walks of life in various fields. Hebei Province will, as always, create a better environment and more high-quality and efficient services for foreign experts in our province.

China is the leading singer but not a sol, it should be a symphony with all countries together, we can hardly do without the help of all foreign experts, because they are the emissaries who spread the friendship between China and other foreign countries.
Fan Shuo, Chairman and Secretary General of Hebei Enterprise (Industry) Federation of Literary and Art Association provide the speech.
With the theme of the activity, we invited three famous provincial calligraphers Fan Shuo, Ren Guizi, and Guo Lijun on the spot to write and teach our foreign experts on how to write the Spring Festival couplets with the Chinese brush. The three calligraphers deeply affected the present foreign experts, and took out their mobile phones to record this precious picture. Many foreign experts approached the calligraphers to ask for a character "Fu", and took the initiative to take a brush to experience the Chinese calligraphy culture. Ms. Matilda from Albania wrote "Peace", Mr. Mivan wrote "Prosperity", Mr. Ishii from Japan wrote "We will cross that bridge when we come to it". Some foreign experts wrote down their own country's name and their own name in Chinese characters.

Yummy dumplings contain rich Chinese
food culture, every time when the Spring Festival comes, each family will bring
a bowl of steaming dumplings on the table as one common memory for all Chinese
people to celebrate the New Year. Hereby, Deputy Director Guo Yuming and Director
Wang Zhongqun joined hands together with foreign experts to the stuff canteen
of HFSU, to teach and show foreign experts how to make dumplings hand by hand.
